Serving Our Veterans

PAWS/LA's PETSTRONG program exists to enrich the quality of life of low-income U.S. Veterans by providing assistance with the care of their companion animals. Numerous studies indicate that veterans with pets see improvements in their overall happiness, ability to cope with stress and relationships with others. The brave individuals and families who risked their lives to protect our freedom now need our help protecting their companion animals.

Program Services

All services are provided FREE to qualified clients on a case-by-case basis as funds are available.

NOTE: there is a 30-day wait period for veterinarian service following completion of your enrollment

Eligibility

Are you a retired member of the U.S. Armed Forces?
Do you reside in Los Angeles County?
Do you consider yourself to be low-income?
Is your companion animal at least 6 months old?
Have you/will you spay/neuter your animal?
