FOR VETERANS WITH PTSD AND THEIR COMPANION ANIMALS
PAWS/LA's new program, PROJECT PETSTRONG, exists to enrich the quality of life of veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) by providing assistance with the care of their companion animals. Numerous studies indicate that veterans with pets see improvements in their overall happiness, ability to cope with stress and relationships with others. The brave individuals and families who risked their lives to protect our freedom now need our help protecting their companion animals.
All services are provided to qualified clients on a case-by-case basis as funds are available.
