| On Friday, January 13th PAWS/LA honored a few of its most dedicated volunteers with a special event presented at BottleRock LA. Distinguished volunteers received the President's Volunteer Service Award recognizing the hundreds of hours they gave to the PAWS/LA community in 2016. The PVSA encourages citizens to live a life of service. Our volunteers definitely meet up to the award's vision of recognizing those who take positive action to change the world. Thanks to these volunteers -- and to each one of you who serves PAWS/LA-- we continue to accomplish our mission of keeping people and pets together. |

This year PAWS/LA honored six distinguished volunteers. Three of those volunteers received the Silver Medal, which designates between 250-499 hours of service, they are Gilbert Fierro, Gayle Lund, and Walter Meinhardt.
We also honored David Osep and George Reese with the Gold Medal for more than 500 service hours.
The most special award of the night, the President's Lifetime Achievement Award, went to Shaun Walsh for his many years of service to PAWS/LA.
We want to congratulate all of the volunteers honored this evening. We also want to acknowledge Bottle Rock LA for hosting this intimate gathering.
